Join our Waldorf Toymaking workshop
I’ve been on a tiny toymaking kick lately! In the recent weeks I’ve made the little bend dolls and felt animals above. Its so satisfying to be able to finish a project in a day, and despite what you’d think – they’re not that hard. If you’re interested in trying your hand at some felt toymaking, needle felting, or Waldorf doll making why not join our Waldorf toymaking workshop? I used to love having a little pocket friend with me when i was young, ready for any kind of imaginative adventure… in the garden, at a restaurant, or even in the line at the post office!

A Tiny Population Boom
Pilgrim has been bitten by the stitching bug and there’s been a tiny people population boom here at Little Sparrow! Meet some of the new folk you could adopt…
Right now these three are looking after some felt farm animals, but you could take them on any adventure you like!
There is even a sorcerer (and some hopeful apprentices!) If you’d like to weave your own magic and create some bendy little people we stock the raw materials for you to choose from: pure wool felt, wool fibre, and bendable wooden doll forms.
These people are all unique and won’t stay around long – we hope to see you soon!

Friendship
For a long while now I have been friends with the Gals at The Friendship Tree.
I make Bush Babies and Sweetpeas for them and in return i know that my labours are sold by them with love and adoration.
Similarly I am so very proud to sell their stunning handwork…..like this felted artwork

Isn’t it just wonderful getting your mitts on gorgeous fabrics!!
Some of my favourites are this super soft new Chenille $24 per metre, Hand-dyed Pure Wool Felt from $7.95, Wild & unusual Vintage Chenille ( i have quite a collection i do confess!) from $2 per piece, Hand-dyed Pure Cotton Interlock (specifically made here in Melbourne and dyed as skin tones for toymaking) $20 per metre and Cotton rich stretch Velour $50 per metre.
There are so many gorgeous things to make and i often stand in front of my fabric stash and the wonderful fabrics in the shop and just go into a flat spin! rather giddy!
