Strike up the band!

If there’s one thing that comes naturally to kids its making noise! And nothing will foster an interest in music like having their own instruments to make music with. Musical play is so valuable to a child’s development, read here for a great explanation of the reasons why. We have a range of instruments suitable from 9 months and up – the animal themed percussion set, above, is a perfect starter. The set contains a a butterfly tambourine, a penguin shaker and a crocodile that doubles as castanets and guiro. also pictured above are a wooden hand-held tone block, and a great wooden/metal xylophone.

We have an excellent set of percussion instruments (pictured above) that are perfectly scaled for small hands. The set contains a tone block, tambourine, washboard/guiro, cymbals, bells and a xylophone and at $75 its excellent value!
Recorders get a bad rap, but the wooden recorders we stock are especially easy on your ears – their sound is mellow and is a much gentler timbre than the plastic recorders you might be (reluctantly) familiar with.
