Hop aboard one of our fantastic new mini log rafts (we only have a few though, so don’t miss out!) and set sail for adventure on Jungle Lodge Island. Watch out though, these are alligator infested waters! We’ve already met one pirate whose hand was a little snack for that ‘gator one fateful day, so keep your hands and feet on the raft or you may befall the same fate…

Welcome to Jungle Lodge Island. We’re happy to see you made it here alive! Its a treacherous journey but worth the risk, I’m sure you’ll agree once we’ve shown you around the Lodge. We have rope ladders and bridges and a nice little table and chairs where we eat our meals (if the monkey’s don’t steal all our fruit!), a big comfy bed with a net to protect you from bugs and up there in the loft? Shh! That’s where the baby sleeps! But that’s not all, I’ll let Captain Bluecoat show you around the rest!

Ahoy, maties! I keep watch for marauding enemy pirates up here in my look out tower – those scurvy knaves are after our excellent Jungle Lodge! Its the envy of all who see it. It’s a solitary life up here keeping watch, but the view is excellent and I’ve a few crates of rum to keep me company on cold and windy nights. I can see its time for you to hop back aboard your raft and sail home. Visit the lodge again soon, won’t you?

Dollmaking Sunday

Needlecraft

An introduction to handwork. Learn embroidery, make felt toys and experience basic small toy construction;
Learning the skills that can be applied to sewing a blind hem and other practical applications.

Knitting

Thursday March group: 8th – 29th, (4 weeks) 10am-12pm

In this class we’ll learn to cast on and off, a variety of different stitches, increasing and decreasing and at the end of the session you will be making a scarf.

Dollmaking

In this class we will cover the basics and techniques for making a formed head. You can make any kind of waldorf doll you would like! It’s easy – really!

Machine Sewing

Always wanted to use a sewing machine? This class will run you through all the basics, from threading to the tension, which needles to use, how to make a ruffle, to line a tote bag, to add a zip. we will make 4 simple projects along the way too! Sewing machines provided.

In this four week course we’ll learn to do all the basic stitches, increasing, decreasing and changing yarn. By the end of 4 weeks you’ll be making Granny squares!

Craft Circle

Things are getting festive in the shop and we’ve decked our halls with these homemade crochet star garlands.

They’re each around 100 – 115cm long and each star is 12cm wide and we have various combinations of festive reds, greens and sparkly snow white.

These garlands would look wonderful strung across a mantle, door or bookshelf. Pop in and pick one up for your home – or grab some of our yarn and make your own!
